June 26, 2019 – Select Bay Area Event List

It’s Pride, San Francisco!

This week’s Curator: Mikl Em of The Interval and Speechless Live

This week’s event headlines write themselves: it’s PRIDE and the first Dem debates are on. Mostly I’ll focus on other happenings below, but the official list of Pride-related events is here. You can find debate watch parties all over. But for those interested in politics, local or national, I want to mention Manny’s in the Mission. Not an endorsement (I haven’t actually been there yet), but I’m 100% intrigued by their commitment to politically engaged events. The 2 nights of drag queen hosted debate-watching are sold out, sadly, but upcoming talks include Congresspeoples interviewed by Kara Swisher; SF’s top official on homelessness; even Presidential candidate appearances. All that with food & booze at 16th & Valencia? Yes, intriguing. Yet the Bay Area is also made of banjos, fire science, drag parody, eclipse watching, and much more. So on to the list…
